About Ribbons of Resilience

When I was going through treatment, I received so many flowers. They were kind and thoughtful but I couldn’t have them in hospital. I didn’t have the energy to enjoy them. And watching them fade during such a difficult time was harder than I expected.

What I really needed was something practical. Something comforting. Something that helped me get through each day. Something that truly supported me through treatment – not just another gift, but something I could actually use during chemotherapy and recovery.

That’s why I created Ribbons of Resilience.

My Story

I’m Leanne, and my life changed forever in 2017 when I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia while pregnant.

What followed was a journey through intensive chemotherapy, CAR-T therapy, and a stem cell transplant an experience that showed me what true resilience really looks like, and how much strength can come from the smallest acts of care.

Ribbons of Resilience was born from that experience. It’s my way of turning everything I’ve been through into something meaningful offering comfort, strength, and practical support to others navigating cancer.
